On Saturday, September 7th, 2024, Unlocked & Found joined the City of Pompano Beach at the E. Pat Larkins Community Center for the Nana’s Closet community yard sale event. This was the first time Unlocked & Found attended this community sale/swap and won’t be the last!
The City of Pompano Beach is a beautiful city in Broward County, Florida, and is considered to be within the Greater Fort Lauderdale area. With many historic landmarks and beautiful beaches, and a welcoming community, the Unlocked & Found team got to meet lots of new people, offer some of our amazing finds at bargain prices, and take a lot of wish list requests.
Nana’s Closet was originally scheduled for August 4th, but due to Tropical Storm Debbie, City of Pompano Beach’s organizers sadly had to reschedule. As Summer goes in South Florida, the weather was HOT – but at least it didn’t rain! Once we arrived at the E. Pat Larkins Community Center, we set up “shop” in a nice shady spot and got to work. By nine o’clock, browsers and bargain-hunters were out visiting booth-to-booth and making their rounds. The Unlocked & Found team rolled out a variety of household items, paintings, a variety of clothing, shoes and sneakers, all kinds of hand tools, power tools, as well as tents, fishing poles, and car speakers. Other vendors at Nana’s Closet had a variety of things to share, from household cleaning products, custom clothing, and all types of home decor. We had a great time getting to know the shoppers and show off our goods. Nana’s Closet’s organizers did a great job putting this event together and even had complimentary refreshments to offer shoppers.
We were pleased with how well put-together this was and with the turn-out of local shoppers that stopped by. The Unlocked & Found team will definitely be back in the beautiful City of Pompano at the next Nana’s Closet Event. We hope to see you there!
